I love the way Monday comes. It shows up every week — it’s never late. It doesn’t rush, and it doesn’t demand. It’s faithful and steady, a companion arriving at our door with a spring in its step, carrying a pocket full of hope. There’s something comforting about that kind of consistency. In a world where so much shifts beneath our feet, Monday keeps its promise.
There’s no need to dwell on the past. Monday is here to celebrate with us. Today is here, and yesterday is gone.
Before dawn stretches across the sky, the world prepares for each new day. The birds know it first. They greet one another with bright, cheerful songs, as if they’ve been entrusted with a secret. They rejoice in what the day holds, unhurried and unbothered, without a care in the world. Their voices rise before the sun, reminding us that hope wakes early — that God’s mercies arrive before we do, renewed and waiting.
Even if yesterday was heavy, even if we’re still carrying pieces of it — conversations unfinished, mistakes we wish we could rewrite, heaviness that doesn’t dissolve overnight — life is real, and letting go isn’t always easy. Monday doesn’t shame us for what lingers. It doesn’t ask us to forget. It says: Come as you are. There is room for you in this new beginning.
It invites us to begin again with new hope. It celebrates the truth that God’s grace doesn’t hinge on our perfection. It meets us in motion — in the trying, in the stumbling, in the stepping forward. Monday celebrates that we’re not alone. God is here. He’s never late.
Today is here.
Yesterday is gone.
Everyday courage looks like small, ordinary steps — unnoticeable to anyone who isn’t paying attention. Every small step is a declaration:
I haven’t given up.
I’m still here.
I’m still choosing hope.
There is a beauty in that. We don’t need to impress the world with loud, look-at-me gestures. Sometimes courage is showing up. Sometimes hope is taking the next step.
Notice Monday’s faithful and kind presence, arriving at just the right time. It doesn’t care what happened last week. It doesn’t ask whether we were successful or whether we fell short. It arrives, carrying another new beginning in its hands.
Maybe we’ve misunderstood Monday.
It was never meant to be the end of the weekend or the start of another long week.
Monday is a reminder that we get to begin again.
That is why I love the way Monday comes.
It shows up.
It’s never late.
And every time it arrives, it carries hope with it.
