A Tribute to My Sister, Frances

There are times when words come slow and heavy. Today is one of those times, but they also come with love and respect. My sister Frances—my sister by birth and my sister in Christ—has gone home to be with Jesus. I would like to share a few reflections about her life, her faith, and the quiet, steady way she shaped mine. This is my tribute to her.

Frances, My Sister In More Ways Than One

There are some people whose lives leave a mark so deep that even going to heaven does not erase their presence from our days. My sister Frances is one of those people.

We were born into the same earthly family, but God, in His kindness, made us sisters twice—once by birth, and once again by His grace. That double bond shaped my life in ways I’m still discovering.

When I was young and confused, trying to make sense of who I was and what life meant, Frances was there for me. She didn’t just offer comfort; she offered direction. She stepped into my uncertainty with the kind of steady love that only comes from someone who knows Jesus deeply.

Just as Andrew brought his brother Peter to the Lord, Frances, my sister, brought me to Him. She pointed me toward the Savior who would become my anchor, my healer, and my hope. That gift changed everything. It changed my life. It changed my eternity.

Now she is with Jesus—the One she loved, trusted, and followed with her whole heart. And while my grief is real, so is my gratitude. I thank God for the years we shared, for the laughter and the tears, for the prayers whispered over me, and for the way she lived out her faith with beauty and persistence.

Frances is home now. And because of the Savior she introduced me to, one day I will be home too. Until then, I carry her love, her example, and her legacy with me.

Well done my sister.

I love you.

I’ll see you again.

Thank you for taking a moment to honor Frances with me. Her life was a beautiful testimony to the love of Jesus—steady, faithful, and full of grace. If her story encourages you to look toward Him, then her legacy continues in the most beautiful way. May we all live with the kind of courage she carried, and may we hold fast to the hope that one day, in God’s perfect timing, we will be reunited in His presence.
